| So, i haven't had much computer time since i've been home. working a few jobs, visiting my boy, and definately hanging with the girls. this summer looks pretty busy, so don't expect too many entries outta me. i love you all though! muah!! | | |
| ok, only a few more days and i'm not a freshman anymore. woot! not looking forward to my history exams...and one is at 8:30 am which is not good for me. hopefully they go well, but i don't know. i seem to find other things to distract me from studying (like this). at the moment i have one of those i-don't-give-a-shit attitudes, but unfortunately that won't last long. i'll get all freaked out and try to cram in the last hour before my exam. guess that means i have twenty minutes left before the cramming begins.
thank goodness i'll get a break after this week though! get to visit dave again out in cali....should be a blast (like always)! this time we're chilling in san jose instead of driving back to monterey and we're going to a theme park on saturday.  i'm excited! there's a few little details we haven't quite figured out though, like what i'm doing on monday. check out is at noon, my plane doesn't leave until 9:50, and dave has to be in class (back in monterey) from early to 5:00ish. Oh well though, at this point i don't really care. as long as i get to see him, it's all good to me!
oh, so i may not be here all of summer. see, a few months ago my dad mentioned a job in france, teaching his friend's kids how to speak english. at the time, i was like hell no. i don't want to go over there by myself. but then he mentioned it again last night, and also told me that the guy was planning on paying about 5,000 euros (a little more than 3,500 US dollars) and that sort of changed my mind. it's been awhile since my dad's talked to the guy and he's not sure if that is the exact amount of money, but if he still wants me i may end up going. it's free board, free food, i'll be teaching (which is awesome cause that's my profession), i'll be alone BUT in france so maybe thast makes up for it, and i'll get paid a butt load of money...thousands more than i'd make here. and it's only for about a month so it doesn't take up my entire summer vacation. so we'll see about that.
anyways, i should start studying. good luck to all of you on your exams! and if you're already out for the summer, well, i have nothing for you. except enjoy the sun. (jerks)  muah babes!! | | |
| - - Well, Cali was a blast. Except for the plane ride, but that's expected. Got to walk on the beach with my boy, meet some of his friends, play a little soccer, shop around, and see some of the sites of Monterey. It is a beautiful place!! Even the hour and a half-ish drive from san jose to monterey was enjoyable! Oh, I also have some big news, but I want to tell people in person, so you all have to wait! (haha, i'm mean!)
Ok, that was just a quick cap of my weekend...i have to head to class but i'm sure i'll write more later! love you all! muah!
***So i'm going to add a little more to my vacation story. Actually, to my plane ride back home. So the plane leaves at 10:00pm their time (which is 1 in the morning our time) so I'm pretty tired. I get to my seat and the guy beside me has a 1 1/2 year old daughter. She is the cutest little thing in the world with dark, curly hair (her dad's mostly spanish and her mom's from south america). I wanted to steal her! BUT...she was quite fussy. She did finally fall asleep, on MY pillow in my lap. Which was adorable, it just meant I couldn't move my legs. Also, her dad (I think his name was James) kept some small talk going with me, which was fine although I was tired. It was also kind of cute because here's me at 3 am, looking and feeling like crap, and he's like "I'm not hitting on you or anything, but I have to say you are very attractive." That's quite nice coming from a married man. (don't worry Dave, he wasn't trying to pick me up..he was on his way home to see his wife). So, after too many hours on that plane, I got to the Newark Airport, which is in super busy NJ (right outside of NYC) and was running on about 1 hour of sleep. Me + little sleep + 6am in a busy airport = not-so-attractive and a few tears. Lol, not such a good morning because I almost missed my flight back here to dayton. And as soon as we got on campus I had to go to my history class. I did end up sleeping almost the rest of the day, which was nice, but still...that night/morning was not as enjoyable as I would have liked!
So that's my little added extra story of my trip. Oh yeah, and I had some dude on my Dayton to Cincy flight flirting with me. I mean, I told him I had a boyfriend who I was going to visit, this guy was from Utah, and he still proceeded to ask me for my number. Wow. Thought he'd get a hint from my first comment, but I guess not.
